Data types

PlexMap can manage both structured and unstructured (schema-less) data. Nevertheless, PlexMap places great emphasis on the explicit typification of the data. This means that both the user - and PlexMap - in the Magazine and in the Switchboard know at all times what type of data is being worked with.

One advantage of such typing is that errors due to incorrect, unwanted links or imports are caught early on without having serious consequences later.

There is a symbol for each Data type for easy recognition. These symbols are used throughout PlexMap, such as in the Magazine and the Switchboard.
