Create Switchboards
Below are some rules of thumb to help you set up a PlexMap infrastructure.
Clear purpose Anchor
Switchboards should have a clearly stated purpose. Name each switchboard according to its purpose. Since switchboards represent processes, it is recommended to describe switchboards with a verb (example: "Save layer 'trees'" or "Provide city model as OBJ"). When creating and extending a switchboard, make sure that it does not take on more tasks than its original purpose.
One Output Anchor
Switchboards should usually have only one output (Depot, Layer, Service or File). In some situations it makes sense for a Switchboard to write several Layers, for example, but this often leads to confusion (see point 1).
Non circular Anchor
Switchboards should not be circular. Circular Switchboards have the same output as input. So avoid Switchboards, whose execution also changes the input data.
